BRITS heading to Spain will need to check their bags before going on holiday this summer.
New rules mean there are two food items that British are not allowed to take with them anymore.
Since the UK left the EU, new rules are in place for taking food to Spain.
This includes any animal products which falls under two categories – meat and dairy items.
Obvious items such as sausages, ham and cheese are banned, but the ban extends to items that use meat and dairy products as part of their ingredients.
This includes cakes that contain fresh cream and sweets made with gelatin.
It also includes English cheeses like Cornish brie and Wensleydale, as well as clotted cream fudge.
A jar of Bovril would also fall foul of the rules, because it contains gelatin, and mince pies and Christmas pudding that contains suet would also be banned.
There is one exception to the rule – baby milk.
Powdered baby milk is allowed as long as it is sealed and in its original packaging.
You are also allowed to take up to 20kg of fish and up to 2kg of honey as well as 2kg of oysters and live mussels.
It’s not just food that British have to be careful of when traveling to Spain.
There are now restrictions on booze and cigarette limits.
This means you can only take up to four liters of spirits, 42 liters of beer and 18 liters of wine, while cigarettes are limited to 200.

Some all-inclusive holidays now have caps on booze, with just six drinks allowed per day.
