F1 22 to Feature a Licensed Soundtrack for the First Time in the Series

EA Sports likes to fill its various annual titles with contemporary licensed tunes, and it looks like F1 22 will be no different. With Codemasters now part of the family, this year’s Formula One sim is getting the full treatment, and that means an extensive soundtrack to enjoy between races.

“Charli XCX, Meduza, Diplo, Jacknife & The Bloody Beetroots, and BRUX ft Kimbra headline a heart-racing soundtrack comprised of 33 global artists who pioneered the electric dance genre, reflecting cultures from the Miami beaches to the narrow streets of Monaco,” reads the press release. Steve Schnur, president of music at EA, says the soundtrack reflects “the rush players can experience from the pinnacle of motorsports”.

Other artists include Alesso & Marshmello, James Bay, deadmau5 & Wolfgang Gartner, and more. It’s not quite as extensive as FIFA 22’s 122 tracks, but it is neat to see F1 being treated the same way. We’ve no doubt the franchise’s soundtrack will be that much bigger next year. If you want to listen to the game’s track list, you can do so on Spotify or Apple Music through the respective links.
