Since her exit from Real Housewives of AtlantaPhaedra Parks has been writing a memoir on her time on RHOA, she revealed to Page Six. The book will cover her mental health during her time on the reality TV series. Readers will get insight into the decline of her well-being and the road to recovery.
She left the series in 2017 after seven seasons. When ex star of RHOA Phaedra Parks told the outlet about her book, she described the damage that Real Housewives could do to someone.
“I think anyone that’s been on it for over four to five years will experience some PTSD because it can be very traumatic,” she said.
Regarding the book, Phaedra Parks will aim for a target audience of women who could relate to her story. She did also note that men could read it too, but she meant it as “a book for women.”
“So I wanted to write a book for women — men can read it, too — that really gave a part of my testimony of just being an overcomer,” Phaedra Parks said.
Previous RHOA star Phaedra Parks is writing a memoir
This comeback for Phaedra Parks has been more than positive as she said she feels and looks “younger” and that she “lost nothing.” On top of her careers as a TV personality, mortician, attorney, and now author, she is keeping herself busy. After a break in reality TV, she is back to that as she stars in The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club. The spinoff features Tamra Judge, Taylor Armstrong, Jill Zarin, and more Housewives from other series of the franchise.
No title was revealed for the upcoming memoir, but Phaedra Parks released a book before this in 2013 titled Secrets of the Southern Belle: How to Be Nice, Work Hard, Look Pretty, Have Fun, and Never Have an Off Moment.
