YouTuber Creates World’s Largest Xbox Series X, Sets Guinness World Record

How crazy is this?! YouTuber Michael Pick now holds the Guinness World Record for the “Largest Xbox Console”, which he created in partnership with fellow content creator ZHC, and the amazing part is that it’s actually fully functional.

Michael goes into detail about the process of building it in the YouTube video above, where it’s explained that a standard Xbox Series X is hidden in the back of the larger design, and there’s an elaborate set of mechanisms that ensure that when you press a button on the giant Series X console, it sends a message to the actual Xbox Series X to perform that action, like turning it on or even opening up the disc tray. Very, very cool.

Here’s a bit of behind-the-scenes info from the official Guinness World Records website:

“It took about two days to plan everything, and then about a month for the actual construction. The trickiest part of the build was designing and making the glowing Xbox logo. He had to figure out a way to make it glow consistently, while also allowing it to work as a push button. It took a little bit of brainstorming, but he finally figured it out.”

The World’s Largest Xbox Series X measures over two meters tall and over one meter wide, and weighs 250lbs / 113.4kg. Michael says that, incredibly, it’s 600x bigger than the standard version of the Xbox Series X.

So, where does the console live? Well, Michael ended up donating it to the YMCA Youth and Teen Development Center in Atlanta, and you can see a snippet of the kids seeing it for the first time at the end of the video above.

What a great story! Xbox’s Aaron Greenberg thinks so too, as it took to Twitter recently to congratulate Michael on the design and for donating it to a good cause.
